One More Push

My mind is tired of thinking
what does this all mean?
Realities have many faces
and they speak different languages;
mostly in languages,
that nobody understands
not me, at least.

Shall I still ascend
like a Phoenix bird from the ashes
or shall I lie down in the firing?
Older people think
even such efforts.
When life itself has changed
to extra effort, one more push
is heavy to carry,
even with brave wings.

The English-Interlingua-English Translator

Some time ago, I found an English-Interlingua-English Translator on the Internet. Please use it to translate text into English,
https://www.stars21.com/translator/interlingua/english/

The translator is not perfect and makes fewer mistakes when you write the text in row, like: Papilion matinal incontra mi facie e face me sentir le agitation de alas minuscule.

PS I’m sorry for the grammar mistake: The 3rd line of the Interlingua version must be ”e face me sentir.”

Fossils are Lovely

Some people may be shocked by fossils. I think they are lovely. Some lizards lived before the dinosaurs and knew how to write. In addition to the animal, the rock contains its message for posterity; see the picture below.

Wow, this creature even knew to predict the arrival of Christmas in the world.

Christmas Gift Tip for The Little Ones in the Family

A four-hole diatonic harmonica is a good and cheap Christmas gift for the family’s younger members. It makes it easy to introduce a child to the fascinating world of music. The Finnish-language video, which English-speaking people can also understand, explains how to start with the harmonica. You can find the links for the four-hole harp, sheet music, and theory booklet on my homepage. In the sheet music booklet, you can see, e.g., followed by the songs ”Mary Had a Little Lamb,” ”Itsy-Bitsy Spider”, ”Pieni nokipoika,” and ”Lennä, lennä leppäkerttu.”

The White Death

This Article is a Tribute to Simo and all the Finnish War Veterans

Simo Häyhä (Finnish: [ˈsimo ˈhæy̯hæ] (clip_image001listen); 17 December 1905 – 1 April 2002), often referred to by his nickname, The White Death, was a Finnish military sniper in World War II during the 1939–1940 Winter War against the Soviet Union. He used a Finnish-produced M/28-30 (a variant of the Mosin–Nagant rifle) and a Suomi KP/-31 submachine gun. He is believed to have killed over 500 men during the Winter War, the highest number of sniper kills in any major war.[2][3][4][5]

My Soul Flies (Ojman Livtib) is a Classical Composition

My Soul Flies is a classical composition of a poem by Aleksei Arzamazov. In his verses, Arzamzov uses an artificial language he developed called Budinos, intended to serve as a common language for the Finno-Ugric peoples. The piece was composed by the Estonian composer Mart Siimer. The music is interpreted by the singer Iris Oja, and Tartu Vanemuine Orchestra is led by conductor Lauri Sirp. The song tells about the longing to go to the ancestors, to one’s own Ugric home. The tune describes the hope and anxiety of a person when he has been uprooted.

Listen to the opus:

Lyrics of Omjan livtib (My Soul Flies) in Three Languages:

Budinos English

Mina upin jos kanto gurales,
mina upin jos pesan tulales,
kunjin silmat no vetin vorsat,
ojmam livtib kogo vorsas

I’m tired of the evil noise,
as tired as coming from the city,
I close my eyes, and in my imagination, I see a forest,
my soul flies to the great forest.

Zemo elima veljo em tasa,
Tekie askelat, uskie sole.
Levtid kenerat, paremtib tinat
kogo vorsan pua no shonda

Only here is real life,
take a step, believe in her,
strength and healing are given by the great forest
trees and sun.

Toan vetat namoie ni kermas,
Sodie shemat lamo kelandales,
Koza no tama, fenno-ugro miesa,
Vario mit, varjo bertanmit

Grab the spring water,
feel and taste
ancient language.
Birch and oak, Finno-Ugric,
waiting for us, waiting for our return.
