Malbela anĝelo
Kial vi staras en la angulo
de mia ĉambro?
Ĉu vi scias ,
ke mi vidas tre bone
en krepusko.
Li silentas …
Vi estas malbela,
sed ne malhonoras vin.
Li silentas …
Nur paŝu antaŭen
kaj donu vian brilon
prilumi nian lokon.
Li paŝas antaŭen
kaj tuta ĉambro
dancas en la
ora lumo.
Matene mi perceptis
ke sunoradioj brilis
el la kupra tegmento
de la najbara domo
en mia ĉambro.
Ĝi helpis min.

The Ugly Angel
Why are you
standing
in the corner
of my room?
Don’t you know
I can see real fine
in twilight.
He is silent …
You are ugly
but it doesn’t
dishonor you.
He is silent …
Just step forward
and let your brightness
illuminate these walls.
He steps forward
and we dance
in the golden
light.
In the morning, I realized
that the sunbeams reflected
from the copper roof
of the neighboring house.
It helped me.
