You little girl with Asperger’s syndrome,
Who fight to be accepted,
Who hopes for appreciation and intimacy,
You are competing against windmills.
It’s me already a 70-year-old syndrome boy,
who knows it.
A lot of talks are hoovering around
But still, people play according to what is
Best for them and what gives
The best outcome financially
And socially.
Different people fit into incircles
if their characteristics enrich others.
During the decades, I read medical
Publications and I listened to psychologists
Instructions without becoming a member
of mainstream society.
Now, when I have one foot in the grave,
I know how to dance happily
with a wooden leg.
(To you, I hope more time
on the dance floor of your
kind.)
